Our investments in recycling have been consistent and significant. We have the capacity to separately collect plastic waste and reintegrate it into our production flow. Our facilities include a recycling station, five grinding mills, a granulation compounding unit, shredders, and many other advanced technologies that allow us to recycle materials previously considered non-recyclable. This closed-loop recycling system enables us to continuously reintegrate waste from the production process, minimizing waste to almost zero. By doing so, we contribute to waste reduction at the source through reintegration into the technological flow.
Currently, we are developing a new €14 million project, co-financed by the Romanian government, aimed at recycling materials that are currently considered non-recyclable, such as resins and fiberglass.
West&Co currently operates 1,450 kWh of installed photovoltaic panels. By the end of 2025, this capacity will nearly double with the implementation of additional panels, allowing us to cover 60% of our current energy needs with green energy. The continuous expansion of our solar energy capacity, combined with cutting-edge technologies and digitalized production processes, will enable us to generate 100% of the energy needed for our production by 2030.
